Guide to our Fees
NHS Dental Charges are set by Scottish Government.
Please note that NHS fee structure is complex and varies considerably from patient to patient depending on the treatment required. Check ups are FREE for everyone.
Unless you are in one of the groups entitled to free NHS dental treatment or help with the cost you will require to pay for your NHS dental treatment up to a maximum of £384 per course of treatment.
You are entitled to free NHS dental treatment if you:
• Are under 18 years old
• Are aged 18 and in full-time education
• Are pregnant or have had a baby in the last 12 months
• Get income support or certain other benefits
As a registered NHS patient, you can get all the care, advice and treatment you need to keep your mouth, teeth and gums healthy. However, some treatments are not available on the NHS, for example:
• Any cosmetic treatment
• Tooth whitening
• Dental implants
• White filling or crowns on back of teeth
All treatment available on the NHS can also be carried out privately allowing more time with the dentist and better quality materials.

Prices for implants
The cost of implant treatment can vary significantly as there are many different options for tooth replacement using dental implants. As a rough guide one tooth replaced with one implant will cost around £2200. However, the number of teeth missing does not always correlate to the number of implants used to restore. For example, for three teeth missing you can have 3 teeth supported by 2 implants which will cost around £4750. If all of your teeth are missing you can have them replaced with a ‘fixed’ appliance which will not come out, or a ‘removeable’ appliance which you can take out for cleaning. These can be supported on as little as 2 implants in the lower arch and 4 implants in the upper arch.
Our implants are carried out by Dr David Chan who holds a masters degree in dental implantology. He is very experienced in the field of implant dentistry and now mentors other dentists who are beginning their dental implant training. You can rest assured you are in highly skilled, safe, experienced hands with Dr Chan.
Implant assessments are FREE so why not book an appointment and we can give you an idea of the possibilities and timescales/costs involved.
