The Isle of Man 🇮🇲

I’ve spent this weekend on the Isle of Man 🇮🇲 at a friends stag do. Naively I thought it’s not that far away and will be easy to get to and home from, but unfortunately that’s not true at all.

We flew from Glasgow via Birmingham with a 3 hour stop over to get here. The outbound journey was actually ok though as we were all excited about the weekend ahead.

Getting home is proving to be a bit more of a challenge. We arrived at the airport around noon today to catch our flight to Manchester , then another from there home to Glasgow. The flight was delayed and we now have to fly to Edinburgh at 8.30pm then get a taxi home from there.

So that’s an 8.5 hour wait at the Isle of Man airport. You can imagine it’s not a very big airport and we’re all feeling a bit tender. I’m also pretty sure my watch is going backwards every time I glance at it at the moment.

For a place with no speed limits you might think you can get places a bit quicker! I’m thinking if our flight is delayed or cancelled any further I’m definitely going to swim it.

Im looking forward to getting back to work providing of course I can get off this Island some time soon.
