Fees & Finance.

Understanding NHS Scotland Dental Fees

We want to make it easy for you to understand how NHS dental charges work. The fees for NHS treatment are set by the Scottish Government, so every NHS dentist in Scotland follows the same pricing structure.

Because NHS fees are based on the type of treatment you need, the total cost can vary from person to person. If you’re not entitled to free or reduced-cost treatment, you’ll pay up to a maximum of £384 per course of NHS treatment.

You are entitled to free NHS dental treatment if you:

Are under 26 years old
Are pregnant or have had a baby in the last 12 months
Receive Income Support or other qualifying benefits

As an NHS patient, you’ll receive all the care, advice, and treatment you need to keep your mouth, teeth, and gums healthy.

Spread Payment for Treatment into Affordable Monthly Amounts

A popular option for patients considering cosmetic, teeth straightening or dental implant treatment, finance allows you to spread the cost of your treatment over an agreed credit period that fits within your budget.

At Tiwari Watson Dental Care in Glasgow, we work with a specialist finance provider called Tabeo in offering a range of finance plans to our patients. These include 0% interest free finance for payment plans over 6 or 12 months. Some options are also available on interest bearing up to 60 months.
